Hello Online B and welcome to our class blog.
Blogging is one of the topics we will discuss in class and what better way to learn than to use a blog. We will use this blog throughout the term in a couple different ways.
It may be to respond to something we do in class. It may be to post work, or comment on other's work. A blog has many different uses. We also will have each of you create a blog so that you can see how easy it is.
Before we begin blogging there are a few ground rules!
1. All posts, must use appropriate school language and be completed in paragraph form. When you post, you should be using complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling. NO: U, R, UR, i, CUZ, etc.
2. When posting a comment, you may agree or disagree with another students comment. However, you must state why you feel that way and must do it in a manner that is polite and non-judgmental. The comments need to be non-personal and refrain from sarcasm and put-downs.
3. You must comment on every post, it is an assignment (unless otherwise stated).
4. You must address the topics and questions posted on the blog. You cannot simply write, “I agree.”

My favorite things to do when I’m not in school are: Golf and tennis because I can play them whether or not it’s on a team with school or just with my family.
My favorite author/book is: Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling because I like fiction books and my sister got me into them.
My favorite artist is: Picasso because I think his pieces of art are cool.
Where I want to be in 10 years: Starting my career and being well into college or graduated.
What I expect my career to be: Architect because I like art and plan to major in art.
Where I expect to go to college: Michigan State University.
My legacy I want to leave behind: To get all A’s and to be a good kid.
My personal goals for this class are: Get A’s, make new friends, and learn how to use the computer better.
My favorite place I have visited: Texas because it was always warm and sunny and it wasn’t our usual Minnesota trip.
My family is: My dad, mom, brother, and sister. I am the youngest of my siblings who have already graduated.
My favorite subject in school: Art because I like creating things but my main subject would be English because I love to read and I’m a decent writer.
How I give back to my community: I help the community with thing such as setting up plays, supporting the cast members of the plays, and helping with events such as the JRE craft show.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do when I’m not in school is anything that has no relevance to school. My favorite book would be Where’s Waldo, because I prefer not to read, and pictures amuse me. My favorite artist is Wiz Khalifa, because he is one chill guy. In ten years I want to be successful, I don’t exactly care what I am doing or how I became successful, I only see myself with money. I am not sure what I expect my mareer to be, as stated previously. Also, as statd frequently and previously, I have no set plans for college, or anything ahead of me for that matter. Maura told me that “What legacy do you want to leave behind?” means how people want to see myself when I am dead. Well, to answer that honestly, I want to be remembered as a really classy, rich person. My personal goal for this class is to pass. I don’t have any specific favorite place I have traveled to, but Amsterdam seems pretty chill. My family consists of three brothers, and two parents that are together. My 17 year old brother, Steven, that lives with me, my 50 year old father, Greg, my 40-something year old mother, Jody, and my other two brothers that I don’t know, Adrian and Jeremy. My favorite subject in school is the time you spend down at the cafeteria eating food. That is my favorite, because I like to eat more than I like people. I give back to my community in my free time by walking around and letting people see what they’re missing out on, then the young married men divorce their wives and find more attractive women, thus making them happier, thus making the world a better place. The divorced women make better housewives anyway.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do when I’m not in school is to run. I am on the cross country team and I just love staying after school to have fun with my fellow team mates. My favorite author would have to be Christopher Paloni, he has a very creative way of writing that will keep you hanging on edge. My favorite artist would have to be Key of Awesome, their songs just make me laugh every time I hear them. I want to have a successful career in the medical area in ten years. I what to get a job in the biomedical engineering career track when I leave college, because I love science and helping people. I really want to go to the University of Michigan. A legacy I want to leave behind if the record for the girls 5K. My personal goal for this class is to get an A. My favorite place I have visited would have to be Spain, because of the scenery and all of the cool experiences I have from that vacation. My family consists of a brother and my parents. My favorite subject in school is English, because I have Mrs. Dubb, and I like writing. I give back to the community by volunteering at the Toledo Zoo.

1. My favorite thing to do when I’m notv in school is to use the computer because I have a natural talent when it comes to using them.
2. My favorite book(s) are the Hunger Games series, by Suzanna Collins because it is a story that I can relate to.
3. My favorite artist is Georgia O’Keefe because she played such a vital role in obtaining equal rights as an impressionist painter.
4. In ten years, I hope a successful accountant working for a large company.
5. I expect my career to be working as an accountant for a large company.
6. I expect to go to The University of Michigan and obtain a Masters Degree in Accounting/Business Administration.
7. I want to leave the world a better place than I found it…I strive to make a big difference, but will be happy as long as the world is “in a little better shape” because of something I did.
8. My personal goal for this class is to do my best and achieve the best grade possible for my skill levels.
9. Of all the places that I have visited is Mackinac Island. I love visiting Mackinac Island because it is almost as if you are traveling back in time because of the strict regulations on things such as cars and machinery. I feel as though I have stepped back into the 1800’s.
10. My family consists of myself and my parents.

12. I give back to my community by performing service projects such as working at food banks, etc.

1. My favorite thing to do outside of school is to hangout with friends or watch TV
2. My favorite author is I don’t know any good authors because I don’t read that much.

4. Where I want to be in ten years is in the Marine Corps because that has been my dream to serve my country.
5. I expect my career to be a Marine scout sniper because that’s what I wanted to be when I was younger and I still want is it.
6. Where I expect to go to college is I don’t really want go to college right out of high school.
7. The legacy I want to leave behind for anybody is to be a nice kind of person and to work very hard for your dreams if they are going come true.

9. My favorite place that I have visited is this small town called Glennie, it is in the upper part in Michigan, and I like to go to this place every year because it gets me away from everyone and so I can go camping.

ReplyDeleteIn response to today’s questions are as follows; my favorite thing to do when I’m not in school is cheerleading for Bedford’s Varsity competitive cheer squad because I like to be active and enjoy the company of my fellow cheerleaders. I also enjoy cheering because it keeps me out of trouble an in shape. My favorite author/book would be Phillip Pullman and his series His Dark Materials because I like fantasy/ sci-fi novels and I am quite envious of the world Pullman has created in the three novel series. My favorite artist is Bon Iver because he writes some of my favorite music, that can go with my mood no matter what it is; if I’m sorrowful, ecstatic or even just a little bored, his music speaks to me. In ten years I would like to be living in either the small town of Yellow Springs, Ohio or in New York City, I feel this way because I know I want to leave Bedford when I getold enough to support myself and I don’t think I could live in any place like it so my options are big city or rural village. I expect my career to be either a travel magazine writer or something of the like or professionally play the clarinet or Bassoon in a symphony orchestra where ever I land. I expect to go to University of Michigan because I know that they give out cheerleading and badns scholarships and like I said earlier, I really just want to get away from home. The kind of legacy I want to leave behind is one that breaks the stereotypes, I know that I’m one of the only Varsity cheerleaders that has been in band as well and I want to leave behind a message that states that people don’t have to belong to a certain social group. My personal Goal for this class is to keep up with my work and cut down on my talking habits along with keeping a solid A. My favorite place I have visited it either Jamaica or Maine, I liked Jamaica because I love warm and tropical weather and the wildlife there was so beautiful, but I also liked Maine because of the vegetation and the feeling you get from the small towns. My family is LARGE, both of my parents are remarried to along with my biological family I have an extensive step family I have six brothers (Adam, Nathan, Daniel, Tyler, Grant, and Michael) and four sisters (Ashley, Stefanie, Alexa, Maxine). My favorite subject in school was in my previous trimester and it was Psychology, I really enjoyed it because I’m interested in learning about people’s behavior and why it happens. I give beack to my community by working at the local God Works soup Kitchen at Mount Caramel and last year I was also a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

When I am not in school I like to paint or listen to music. I like to do this because it is relaxing and relieves any tension or stress that has built up throughout the day.
2. My favorite author/ book is and why?
My favorite book is Forged by Fire out of the Hazelwood trilogy by Sharon Draper. It is my favorite book because it is very touching and has a lot of emotion put behind it. Also it open your eyes and makes you realize how people actually do act in the world and how there are some good people in this world and there are so bad sick people too.

I don’t really have a favorite artist. I would never be able to pick one.

In 10 years I want to be either a traveling photographer or a veterinarian.

In 10 years, I want to be either still in college (depending what I choose for a major), or employed at a stable career.
I expect my career will be in the science or mathematic field, because I’m stronger in those subjects. One career I have looked into is a pediatrician.
I expect to go to college in Michigan, but I don’t know specially yet (maybe Central).
The legacy I would like to leave behind is to not just have good grades in school, but to inspire others to help in their communities.
My personal goal for this class is to be able to learn about more creative websites.
My favorite place that I have visited is the Philippines, because it’s different and tropical, and also it’s where my uncle and his family live.
My family consists of my mom, dad, my older sister, and me. My parents are from South Korea, and my sister and I were born here, in the United States.
My favorite subject in school is science, because the sky is not the limit: there is no limit to science.
I give back to my community by picking up trash along the road through Adopt-A-Road, volunteering in my church’s activities and dinners, and also donating clothes through my church.

My favorite thing to do when im not in school is go on my laptop, listen to music, read, and hang out with friends and family, when I am doing all of these things I am a happy person and it gets things off my mind.

My favorite author and book is Authentic Beauty by Leslie Ludy. I enjoy that book because I can relate to what she is saying and how it relates to my life.

My favorite artist is Carrie Underwood, I like Carrie Underwood because I think she is a great role model and her music is very good and I can relate to her songs.

In 10 years I want to be married and have a good job.

My favorite book is Harry Potter by JK Rowling because they’re interesting books and aren’t too hard to read. My favorite artist is ADELE because she has a very good voice and her songs are catchy. In ten years I want to have my own job and support myself, I also want to own my own apartment in a big city. I want my career to be something to do with art and movies, because I love drawing and painting; and it would be really cool to work behind the scenes of a big movie production. Where I want to go to college is University of Michigan. The legacy I want to leave behind is being a generous and caring person. My personal goal for this class is to get an A. My favorite place I had visited is California because the scenery is really pretty and there are a lot of “interesting” people there. My family is two brothers and a mom and dad. My brothers’ names are Daniel and Jacob. Jacob is in college and Daniel’s a junior at Bedford. My favorite subject is French because it’s easy and we get a chance to try French food. I have for sisters that I know of Brittany is the oldest and has two kids one boy and one girl, Jade and Jessie are what I geuss you could call the middle children Jade graduated two years ago from bedford highschool she got many scolerships on volleyball but has recentley decided she no longer wants to play.Jessie graduated from bedford highschool last year and has not decided what she wants to do. Isabel or Izzy is my youngest sister she is a seventh grader at washington juinor high and is my only blood related sister. I also have to brothers I do not know there names are Issac and Alex.

I give back to my community by recycling.

My favorite book/author is: the Wit and Wisdom of Ozzy Osbourne because Ozzy rules.
My favorite artist is: Black Sabbath because they invented heavy metal.
Where I want to be in 10 years: somewhere cool, probably either Amsterdam or Ireland.
What I expect my career to be: I don’t know, I haven’t decided.
Where I expect to go to college: probably UT.
What legacy I want to leave behind: Something cool.

1. My favorite thing to do when im not in school is eat lunch & try & get goood grades.
2. My favorite author/ book is I don’t have one because iount read books like that.
